Job Description
Enterprise Strategic Infrastructure (ESI) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the leadership team as the Unit Technical Manager for the Decontamination and Decommissioning (D&D) Enterprise Management Office (DEMO). The DEMO's primary responsibility is to manage NNL's portfolio of D&D work executed at each of the four DOE sites. This portfolio of work is fully integrated with the Facilities and Infrastructure (F&I) portfolio, and excellent teaming and communication skills are required to successfully execute this responsibility. The D&D portfolio includes work accomplished by the NNL radiological workforce, NNL-led D&D subcontracts and the Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM) managed projects. The DEMO manager is responsible for developing strong working relationships across NNL, with Naval Reactors (NR) and the NR field offices, and with external partners such as DOE-EM. The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of D&D and F&I work at each of the DOE sites and act as the primary point of contact for NNL and NR on the portfolio of D&D work.
Specific responsibilities of the position include:
Developing short-range and long-range D&D strategies by collaborating with the four sites' D&D and F&I teams
Coordinating and leading the corporate D&D activities such as the D&D Council meetings, D&D program/technical reviews with NR, and D&D interactions with executive NNL leadership
Managing and issuing the D&D portions of the annual Real Property Planning Estimate (RPPE)
Management of all DOE-EM M&S funding
Leading the 08U budgetary planning process
Interfacing with the Facilities and Infrastructure (F&I) Enterprise Management Office (FEMO) to ensure alignment of work across the Real Property business area
Leading issuance of the NNL Environmental Liabilities report
Identifying and integrating state of the art D&D technologies into Program D&D activities Being an agent for change seeking to improve efficiency and overall D&D performance across the enterprise while maintaining the highest standards for health, safety and regulatory compliance.
Building and maintaining a system to proactively share and incorporate lessons learned across NNL
Leading a multi-site team

Pay Range
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
