Job Description
The Naval Reactor's Facility in Idaho is looking for an Advisor Project Manager to be part of a team to build a large and unique facility for the United States Naval Program. As part of this team, this Project Manager would lead efforts in managing one of several construction contracts to cost, scope and schedule. They would be working with an Engineering/Procurement/Construction Management (EPCM) contractor to deliver the facility to the Navy Program. The individual must be an engaging communicator who is "problem solving" oriented and works well in a teaming environment. An understanding and experience in using Project Management tools to progress a project to defined scope, cost, schedule within strict safety and quality requirements is essential.
Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for managing projects or programs with multiple integrated projects including defining, planning, and ensuring execution of all tasks necessary to meet project objectives
• Creating and maintaining the project team infrastructure,
• Obtaining necessary resources to staff and support the project,
• Defining project scope and work breakdown structure,
• Developing cost estimates and resource loaded schedules
• Evaluating change requests and approving or rejecting as appropriate
• Managing overall costs versus budget
• Managing subcontracted relationships
• Identifying and mitigating project risks
• Interfacing with and integrating the efforts of stakeholders
• Support personnel and line management to ensure project objectives are achieved

Pay Range
Salary information provided is a general guide line only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations.
