Job Description

The Propulsion Plant Manual Integration unit is seeking a Technical Editor to join our dynamic team. We manage and publish Propulsion Plant Manuals for the Navy sailors. You will work with a diverse team to prepare and publish the manual. Additional job responsibilities include developing and maintaining processes used during publication as well as publication guidelines for authoring content.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

The ideal candidate is:

• Preferred degrees: Technical and/or Project Management.  
• Someone with XML markup language (or similar) experience.
• Someone with database experience, such as Oracle and MS Access databases.
• Someone with project management experience.
• Someone with strong communication skills.
• A team player who knows how to ask for help when you need it, to help teammates when possible, and build positive rapport.
• A growth mindset which compels you to consistently leave your comfort zone, pushing yourself and your teammates to continue learning.
