The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is the prime government contractor tasked with supporting all aspects of the nation’s Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). The Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) is one of many locations that supports that mission. The Engineering Department develops and maintains equipment, processes and procedures for managing and processing spent naval nuclear fuel. The Nuclear Equipment & Process Engineer role is to support the handling and examination of spent naval nuclear fuel. This includes preparing for and executing the receipt, installation, testing, checkout, and maintenance of spent nuclear fuel handling and examinations equipment, as well as operations support.
