The Naval Nuclear Laboratory, Construction Engineering organization has an opening for a Project Engineer with experience in electrical power distribution. The Construction Engineering organization is a multi-disciplined group of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers. The Project Engineer is a key member of a project execution team that consists of a Project Manager, Subcontract Technical Representative, Project Analyst, Contract Administrator, Construction Oversight personnel, and other Engineers to deliver needed infrastructure projects at the Naval Reactors Facility located at the Idaho National Laboratory site.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer typically include the development of construction contracts (design drawings and specifications, cost estimates, etc.), development of supporting work documents, providing field support and performing inspections, as well as commissioning and closeout activities. Project assignments range from multi-year, multi-million dollar investment projects to replacement-in-kind and retrofit projects that are generally short in duration.
