The Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Hardware Development unit is responsible for developing hardware and analog based I&C equipment used onboard naval nuclear vessels. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, test, and production of currently fielded and next generation I&C systems. The I&C Hardware Development unit is specifically focused on designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining I&C equipment that interfaces with analog circuity and signals and detectors. An understanding of hardware-based logic, analog processing, and signal transformations will be developed by the candidate in order to successfully contribute to the development of hardware based I&C equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining hardware level requirements for design changes and modifications, reviewing detailed supplier designs to ensure that the system requirements are being fulfilled, and performing testing on the supplier equipment. The successful candidate will drive and coordinate efforts and communications between other NNL organizations, BPMI, suppliers, Shipyards, and NAVSEA in order to effectively develop I&C equipment that meets all needs of the end users.
