Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory team as a Project Analyst for the Facility Planning & Controls Unit. The Project Analyst will assist in the project management of the Spent Fuel Handling Recapitalization Project (SFHP) and other ER Department projects at the Naval Reactors Facility. As part of a cross-site team, the successful candidate will administer and maintain the existing SFHP project management tools, processes, and systems used by the Project Management Team to manage this major construction project. These tools include, but are not limited to, the Integrated Master Schedule, Open Items System, Earned Value Management Software, Risk and Opportunity Management, Management reserve, and other performance measurement tools.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following: generate reports and analysis of the data housed in the project management tools, provide project management support to new and existing projects and programs, coordinating, supporting, and facilitating project/process meetings, mentoring and training project team members, stakeholders, and junior project support personnel on project management processes, assessing project or program performance and recommending resources or skills needed to supplement project core team, and supporting the preparation and presentation of periodic reviews with management and stakeholders. Areas supported will include project planning and scheduling, resource management, budgeting and cost control, measuring project performance, risk management, coordination and integration of project team efforts, and communication with project stakeholders.
