Job Description

Site Facilities Engineering is seeking an individual to join the organization to apply their knowledge and experience so that operations are conducted in a manner to be compliant with all applicable Federal and State environmental requirements associated with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency regulations for asbestos.  A successful candidate will plan and write maintenance packages to support the site infrastructure and support the Site Asbestos Coordinator (SAC) in performing inspections of asbestos and potentially asbestos containing material at the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF).  The candidate will also support the SAC to execute the Site Characterization Program contract by issuing tasks to the contractor to perform additional asbestos sampling and managing the data and reports issued by the contractor.  The candidate will be responsible to maintain the Facilities Standing Material Disposition Form program and revise/update Hazardous Evaluation Forms that are used by the Facilities Division.  This position requires extreme attention to detail and adherence to process controls.  Integration of activities and plans are essential for success.
