Job Description

Prototype Maintenance and Availabilities (PMA) is seeking an experienced Project Analyst to provide project management support of the activities to deactivate the Modified Reactor Facilities (MARF) Prototype.  Deactivation includes the planning and preparation for the MARF defueling and layup effort, as well as the planning, design, and fabrication of the defueling facilities and associated site projects.  Areas supported include project planning and scheduling, risk management, shipyard interfacing, coordination and integration of project team efforts, project information management, and communication with stakeholders.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support development and maintenance of the project management plan (risk management, communication plan, performance reporting, etc.);

  • Develop associated processes, systems, and tools;

  • Review and analyze financial metrics;

  • Monitor budget performance including actual vs. forecast costs, labor charging, and schedule performance;

  • Prepare and perform financial report reviews;

  • Interface and communicate with Project Engineers, Service Subcontractor Work Administrators, Procurement Department, Financial Services, Kesselring Site Directorate Management Office, and shipyard project office personnel to ensure successful project planning and execution;

  • Support potential problems /issues /risks identification and recommend appropriate response or mitigating strategies - track progress and coordinate follow through of corrective actions; support KS Portfolio management activities using Oracle Primavera to generate and maintain resource loaded schedules that integrate with other KS project areas;

  • Mentor and train project team members, management, and other stakeholders on project management practices and tools;

  • Seek process improvement opportunities to streamline and simplify practices.
